Session 1: Course Description and Intro To Ai

Hey everyone! Are you ready to dive into an adventure where the world of business meets cool AI technology? This course is all about mixing fun learning with some awesome AI tools, like ChatGPT. This journey is perfect for anyone curious about starting a money-making business using the latest AI technology with the benefits of being one of the most interesting kids in the school with this new knowledge. Just as a disclaimer, this course is for education purposes only and will help you understand how people create money-making businesses. If you’re serious about starting a business, talk to your parents! I’m sure they would love to help!

If you’re still not sure what AI is, it’s short for Artificial Intelligence. It's like having a super-smart robot friend who can help you with all sorts of things, especially with schoolwork! But remember, just like with any friend, we need to use AI responsibly. That means always being honest about what's your work and what the AI helped you with. Don't forget to try solving problems on your own first, and use AI as a helper, not as a replacement for your awesome brain. It's important to always give credit where it's due and never pretend that AI's ideas are your own. This way, you're not only being fair and honest but also learning and growing your skills. So, have fun exploring and learning with Ai, but always remember to use it with integrity and responsibility! We’re going to use a specific Ai program called ChatGPT. Let’s talk about how to keep safe while using Ai and specifically ChatGPT.

Safety Instructions for Kids Using ChatGPT

  • Keep Personal Information Private: Never share personal information like your full name, address, phone number, school name, or passwords with ChatGPT or anyone else online.

  • Stay Anonymous: Use a nickname or just your first name when interacting with ChatGPT or any online service.

  • Ask for Help if Unsure: If you're unsure about something ChatGPT says or asks, stop and ask a trusted adult for help.

  • Be Kind and Respectful: Remember to use kind words and be respectful, even when chatting with an AI like ChatGPT. Practicing good digital manners is important.

  • Understand AI Limitations: Know that ChatGPT is a robot and might not always understand or respond correctly. It’s okay to stop chatting if the responses don’t make sense or make you uncomfortable.

  • Avoid Clicking on Unknown Links: If ChatGPT provides a link, don’t click on it without asking a parent or guardian first.

  • Remember It's a Public Space: Treat your conversation as though it could be seen by others. Don't share anything you wouldn't want others to know.

  • Report Inappropriate Content: If something inappropriate comes up in a chat, stop the conversation and tell a trusted adult right away.

  • Balance Your Time: While chatting with ChatGPT can be fun and educational, remember to balance your time between online activities and other interests like playing outside, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Adult Guidance is Important: Always use ChatGPT under supervision or with the permission of a teacher, parent, or guardian.
